GVAV Charity Heroes Raise Money for Mind
Two of GVAV's team members completed fundraising events on behalf of the charity Mind this week.
We're proud to report that Michael Dunworth and Matt Price raised almost £2,000 between them for the mental health charity, achieving some incredible personal triumphs in the process!
🏃♂️ Michael Dunworth - Great North Run
Based in our North East office, Michael is an Account Manager looking after some of our key clients in the region.
Running 13.1 miles alongside 60,000 people including the likes of Sir Mo Farah, Michael finished the run in 1h 51 32s, a fantastic achievement in some very warm conditions.
As well as sporting royalty, the Red Arrows were also in attendance with an awe-inspiring display over the finish line in Newcastle.
Michael raised over £750 for Mind, an amazing achievement. Well done!
🚴♂️ Matt Price - Tour de AV
Matt is our Technical Projects Director based out of our Midlands branch in Coventry. As well as AV, Matt has a keen interest in cycling and is certainly no newcomer to endurance riding!
22 riders took to the roads for this year's Tour de AV event, cycling a gruelling 135 miles over 2 days from Midwich's HQ in Diss and finishing at Ascot Racecourse on Wednesday.
Matt raised £1,100 for Mind, earning himself the well-deserved 'Top Fundraiser' trophy. Over £11,000 was raised for riders' chosen charities this year, a phenomenal effort by everybody.
Meeting Matt at the finish line was our Chairman Brian Abrahams, pictured here. Well done Matt, you can put your feet up now!
